As per the SEBI Master Circular for Mutual Funds dated March 20, 2026, an Equity Savings Fund is an open-ended hybrid mutual fund scheme investing in equity, arbitrage and debt. The scheme must maintain a minimum investment of 65% of its total assets in equity and equity-related instruments, a net long equity exposure of 15%–40% of total assets, and a minimum investment of 10% of total assets in debt instruments. The minimum arbitrage exposure and minimum hedged and unhedged exposures must be specified in the Scheme Information Document (SID).
An Equity Savings Fund is generally taxed as an equity-oriented fund, subject to meeting the applicable conditions under the Income-tax Act.
Note: The above tax treatment is subject to the scheme qualifying as an equity-oriented fund under applicable tax laws. Tax laws are subject to change.
The investment objective of the Scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio predominantly consisting of equity & equity related instruments, arbitrage opportunities, and fixed income instruments (including debt and money market instruments). However, there is no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be achieved.
The Scheme uses proprietary models analysing market trends, technical indicators, fund flows and macroeconomic data to guide its asset allocation across hedged and unhedged equity, arbitrage, debt, Exchange Traded Commodity Derivatives (ETCDs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs). Its anti-momentum signals aim to identify potential trend exhaustion and guide adjustments in unhedged equity exposure as market conditions evolve. The Fund Manager retains discretion over asset allocation. The strategy does not assure capital protection or returns.
The Fund may be suitable for investors seeking exposure to equity, arbitrage and debt through a single scheme, who are willing to accept market-linked risks. It may be considered by investors looking to diversify their investments, invest a lump sum or use the Scheme as a source for a Systematic Transfer Plan (STP) into equity funds, in line with their financial goals, investment horizon and risk appetite. Tax treatment is subject to applicable tax laws. The Scheme does not assure returns or capital protection.
The Scheme combines hedged and unhedged equity, arbitrage, debt and other permitted investments, using proprietary models that analyse market trends, technical indicators, fund flows and macroeconomic data to guide asset allocation. Under normal market conditions, unhedged equity exposure ranges from 10% to 40% of total assets, with the allocation adjusted according to market conditions at the Fund Manager’s discretion. The Scheme also incorporates anti-momentum signals to help identify potential trend exhaustion and guide exposure adjustments. It may qualify for equity-oriented tax treatment, subject to applicable tax laws and eligibility criteria. The Scheme is subject to market risks and does not assure returns or capital protection.
The minimum amount for investment (lump sum): Rs. 5,000/- and in multiples of Re. 1/- thereafter whereas for Systematic Investment Plan (SIP): Rs. 250 and in multiples of Rs.1/- up to Rs. 1,000 – 12 installments OR Rs. 1,000/- and above in multiples of Rs.1/ - 6 installments
There is no entry load but the exit load for the scheme is as follows:
The fund managers for the scheme are Mr. Umeshkumar Mehta, Mrs. Nirali Bhansali and Mr. Vishal Shinde.
